Minutes of the CLIC Meeting - 27 August 2004

Agenda:
Results of CTF3 Run 2004/1 and Plans for Run 2004/2
Speakers:
Roberto Corsini, Igor Syratchev and Frank Tecker

Roberto showed the results of the first running period of CTF3 in 2004. He gave a review of the planned strategy, schedule and objectives, and showed the main results. Then he presented an overview of the run history, a more detailed view on hardware, beam studies and 30 GHz production including the main problems encountered and the things left out.

Igor presented the tests that had been performed with the 9 mm PETS structure including the measured power production in the run. He presented a parasitic mode at 66 GHz that would explain that higher than expected power was measured in the differential arm of the mode launcher. Finally, he outlined the tests and expected performance for the 9mm/6.7mm/9mm PETS structure assembly for the 2nd run and the low-loss 30 GHz line to CTF2.

Frank presented the modifications for the 2nd running period starting now and the planning for the different studies.
