Abstract

News from the recent CLIC Collaboration meeting on 28 Jan will be presented.


After a short introduction to CTF3, the objectives and the planning for the accelerated R&D programm, Günther detailed the contributions that were proposed from the different countries (see his presentation).
In total, the missing budget could be reduced from 17.2 to 9.7 MCHF by the different contributions from the collaborators, but there are still 59 man-years out of the estimated 95 missing.

Ian pointed out that the operation of CTF3 and the stand-alone 30 GHz power source in parallel are required to reach the goals. So the decision for the 30 GHz power source has to be taken this year to allow for 2-3 years development before the operation.

Concerning the next steps, Jean-Pierre explained that all institues are invited to sign the momorandum of understanding that will be send out next week.
