Abstract:

About 100 physicists from Asia, the Americas and Europe attended this advanced ICFA beam dynamics workshop, which was dedicated to the generation, transport, stabilization, focusing, collision, and application of nanometre-size beams.
The workshop brought together different communities, representing, e.g., ILC, CLIC, light sources, lasers, micro-and nanobeam facilities, beam sources, particle physics, magnet design, and medical sciences. I will report some of the discussion highlights, including advances in beam diagnostics, feedback, ground motion, vibration, and the ATF/ATF-2 project.
