The study of the range of validity of Karl Bane function for both longitudinal and transverse wake is presented and an attempt to modify Karl Bane for a better fitting is also proposed. The full study is based on the comparison with the results of 2D computations for periodic structures. Some considerations about non-periodic structures and the effect of rounded irises are also part of the talk.
