Minutes of the CLIC Meeting - 28 September 2007

Agenda:
Recent  Achievements in the Dynamic Alignment of the CLIC BDS
Speakers:
Andrea Latina and Daniel Schulte

Abstract

Dynamic effects in the CLIC can lead to a significant luminosity reduction. In this talk, the main sources of emittance dilution and luminosity loss in the BDS are listed and analyzed, and possible cures to preserve the luminosity are presented. Different orbit correction algorithms and feedback loops are described and compared, and tolerances for the BDS components will are derived. First studies of the impact of dynamic effects on the CLIC main linac beam-based alignment are shown.
