Minutes of the CLIC Meeting - 13 April 2006

Agenda:
The Scaling of the Traveling-Wave RF Breakdown Limit
Speaker:
Walter Wuensch

Abstract

A scaling, which is a function of power flow, pulse length and structure circumference, of the rf breakdown limit will be presented. The physical arguments leading to this scaling and the supporting experimental evidence will be reviewed. Based on this scaling, the rf constraints for CLIC accelerating structure design work will be estimated from the recent 30 GHz Mo-iris test.
